Call for Artists: Art in the Garden 2019

Join us for the annual arts festival benefiting Raleigh Little Theatre, featuring a jury-selected lineup of visual artists, food trucks and live entertainment. This unique outdoor event takes place in the historic Raleigh Rose Garden on the grounds of RLT. Art in the Garden 2019 will be April 27, 2019. There is no rain date. If it rains that day, the event will be cancelled.

Booth rental fee: $50 for a 10’x10’, $100 for a double booth - PLUS 10% of your total sales. Because this is a fund raising event for RLT, the booth rental fee and final sales donations ARE tax deductible and are categorized as a donation.  Hopefully this will also help keep booth fees really low and more in line with actual sales rather than projected sales.

Each artist will be responsible for collecting their sales, reporting their sales tax, and reporting their final sales donation. The booth fee only covers the space rental.  We will not provide any set up items such as tables, chairs, etc. It is your responsibility to provide all you will need for your display. There is no electricity available for the spaces.  Artists’ space locations will be along the perimeter of the Rose Garden, not down the middle or in the flower paths.  A canopy is not required, but it is recommended.

There will be food truck(s), live artist demos, bands, and musicians.

Reserved parking for artists will be available. Load in that morning will be from 8:30am-10:30am. Load out will begin at 6pm. Further instructions will be given in acceptance letter.

NOTICE:

As this is a family-friendly event art that exhibits nudity, bondage, violence or cruelty will not be allowed. The promoters of the show reserve the right to have any material that they deem questionable to be removed.

Thank you so much for your interest in participating and supporting this.  More detailed information will be emailed to participants immediately upon acceptance of invitation to participate.  We look forward to working with you, having a fun event and raising funds for a very worthy Raleigh institution.

Applications are due April 20.
