Thinking Inside and Outside the Box: Using Found Poetry and Found Objects to Explore the Curriculum
Rediscover your curriculum, yourself and your students with poet Mimi Herman and artist Barbi Bailey-Smith. You'll find the poetry hidden in everything from The Declaration of Independence to a grocery list--and create magical art boxes in the style of Joseph Cornell, using found and recycled objects. Whatever subjects you teach, they'll fit perfectly into (and around) the poetry boxes you create. At the end of this workshop, you'll be inspired to take what you've learned back into your classroom to share with your students!
