Rowby, a friendly alien visiting planet Earth, hosts his favorite stories from around the globe. Dogs is a romp through the parks of Paris with animated cut-outs. The Drum is an adaptation of an Indian folk fable from the Himalaya Mountains about kindness and giving. The Three Little Pigs is a fast-paced rap version of the well-known tale, sure to get the audience moving in their seats. The audience travels to Scotland to see a Celtic Jack and the Beanstalk narrated by world renowned musician/storyteller Robin Williamson. The show incorporates hand puppets, a magical beanstalk, a gigantic giant, and a colorfully painted backdrop that turns with the action.

Artist Background

Lisa Sturz, Artistic Director, has been a puppeteer and teaching artist for over thirty years specializing in curriculum based performances and residencies. She has worked with Henson Productions, Walt Disney Imagineering, Lucasfilm, PBS, Ice Capades, NBC, UNC-TV, the Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum, Asheville Symphony, Birmingham Children's Theatre and The Lyric Opera of Chicago. Red Herring Puppets tours nationally and has performed several times at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta. They have received an UNIMA citation of Excellence - the highest honor in American puppetry.
