Judy Lynn

Always interested in drawing and painting, Judy seriously pursued art study in the 1960s as an art major at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, her home town. She delayed her education while marrying and raising two sons, moved to North Carolina, her now-adopted state, in 1973 and has been here ever since. After 16 years, she returned to school and earned a bachelor’s degree in visual art from Winthrop University, Rock Hill, SC in 1984. Judy is a member of Wake Visual Arts, where her work is frequently exhibited. Her work has been shown at Duke Raleigh Hospital, WakeMed, Wake County Government Building, the Carter Building, Capital City Club, the Arts Council of Wayne County and at the Wilkes Art Gallery in North Wilkesboro. In addition, there are always one or two paintings on display at Side Street Restaurant on the corner of Lane and Bloodworth Streets in Raleigh. Her work is in private and corporate collections in three states. Judy works out of her home studio in N. Raleigh.

The exhibit may also be seen July 8-September 2, 2009, at WakeMed.
