United Arts will feature the work of Jason Cardenas beginning on ‘First Friday’— Friday, October 3, 2008. His work will be on display for the month of October at the United Arts office space, located at 110 S. Blount Street in downtown Raleigh. Cardenas’ abstracts are bold and colorful, and the artist says his “deep appreciation of warm earth tones inspired me to begin painting landscapes. The effort was to develop a style through experimentation with several types of brushes and pallet knives, to capture the texture and serenity of nature &ndash a perfect harmony of balance and color... Recently bolder colors have found their way into my works as I continue to grow and refine my style.”
