United Arts will once again lead an arts trip to a European city with a spring 2008 trip to Vienna, Austria. The United Arts Board of Directors invite participants to join us on a special arts trip to Vienna, March 28-April 4, 2008.
The attached brochure details this trip, which will have us visit a palace, sightsee the city, take in a performance of Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde at the Vienna State Opera, check out one of the leading private European art collections (recently gone on display to the public), see renowned pianos being made by hand, and tour the Vienna Woods-and still allows for significant time on one’s own.
There are also three add-on attractions for those interested in a Sunday mass concert featuring members of the Vienna Boys’ Choir, the Lippizanner Museum and/or a full day excursion to Salzburg. Lodging is a four-star, first-class traditional hotel in a central location.
To participate, simply complete the registration form that is a part of the brochure and return it with your deposit. A few additional notes:
Reservations will be honored upon receipt on a first-come, first-served basis. By submitting your deposit, you will be acknowledging your acceptance of the terms of the destination package.
Information contained in the enclosed trip brochure is based on the best information available at the time our tour operator offered this package. However, all dates, schedules, accommodations, and costs are subject to change. All prices are based upon double occupancy.
Our trip includes the price of roundtrip airfare from Raleigh-Durham to Vienna. Each traveler will bear any additional costs of getting to and/or from Raleigh-Durham International before and after the international flight.
In addition to the international flight from the single point of departure, the trip cost includes transfers to and from the airport in Vienna, lodging, full breakfast each morning, entrance tickets to the specified art exhibit, opera performance and Seagrotto, English-speaking guides where indicated, and in-country transportation to and from: the Vienna Woods, the Albertina Exhibition, the opera and the piano production facility.
Travelers can arrange their own airfare with frequent flyer miles or book the air from the closest gateway. If anyone chooses to do their own airfare, the transfers to and from the airport would not be included unless they are on the same flights as the group. Please indicate on the registration form that you will make your own air arrangements. The amount of the deposit does not change; the total invoice amount will change accordingly.
Insurance can be purchased individually from AAA Vacations for trip cancellation due to a medical reason. The price is based on the cost of the trip.
