Conference Registration
Online registration for North Carolina: The State of the Arts Conference 2009 is now closed. Limited on-site registration will be available beginning at 12:00 PM on Thursday, March 5, for $175 in the Atrium of the Science & Mathematics Building on the Meredith College campus in Raleigh. Credit for Teachers (CEUs):
With prior approval from the individuals’ local school system, educators who register and attend the full conference are eligible for 1.5 CEUs. Signed Certificates of Participation will be provided at the end of the conference. No partial credit is available. Certificates of Participation will be provided at the end of the Conference (12:45 to 1:15 p.m., on Saturday, March 7) in the lobby of Jones Hall Auditorium.
 
The first three-day conference provided an overview of current, successful North Carolina and national practices, programs, and partnerships and culminated with tips on advocacy and a “Call to Action.’
 
This coming year, we will continue to address those topics in the context of how the arts help prepare children for their future.

To position the arts as:
  • fundamental to 21st-century learning and a creative workforce
  • a catalyst for imagination, creativity and innovation.
  • a stimulus for community engagement and advancement.

  • How will we create public will to advance a new vision for arts learning in the 21st century?
  • How are imagination, creativity and innovation realized as/at the core of 21st-century learning?
  • How do we create equity and access to arts learning across North Carolina?
