Please join us on Saturday, March 11th as United Arts presents "This Great Land", a free choral concert of Americana music featuring the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir, the East Wake High School Chorale and the East Wake Community Chorus. The show begins at 7:30 PM in the auditorium of Knightdale High School.
This concert is the culminating event of the GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) East Wake Residency, presented annually since 1988 by the United Arts. Dr. Alfred E. Sturgis, Music Director of the N.C. Master Chorale, will work on site with the school and community choir groups. For the March 11th concert, each choir will perform their own works, and then have the opportunity to perform together with the Chamber Choir under the direction of Sturgis. The selection of songs will include such standards as Turn the World Around (Harry Belafonte & Robert Freedman), When the Saints Go Marching In (arr. John Rutter) and America (arr. Robert Hunter).
