United Arts Council of Raleigh & Wake County is looking for choruses and choirs to participate in an
East Wake Combined Community Chorus. Up to three choruses per community may participate. Chorus members will have the opportunity to work with members of the North Carolina Master Chorale and their Music Director Al Sturgis. Church, civic and/or high school choruses are welcome.
Rehearsals are scheduled to begin in January 2006. On
March 11, 2006, participating choruses will be featured in a culminating concert spotlighting each chorus as well as a massed choir singing with the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir.

The Combined Community Chorus is part of the United Arts' GlaxoSmithKline East Wake Residency. This program was begun in 1988 to establish a partnership between the arts, local government, communities, education and business and to serve all citizens of eastern Wake County by providing a high quality, culturally diverse arts and educational experience.
