championing arts education
United Arts is dedicated to making the arts fundamental to education, particularly in supporting programs that serve Pre-K through 12 students, classroom teachers, arts specialists, teaching artists and administrators in school, after school or outside the school setting.

United Arts values arts in education programs and projects that:

  • introduce students to arts experiences through performance- or exhibit-based programs (either as audience or participant)
  • provide sequential education in art disciplines
  • provide opportunities for students who have limited access to arts instruction or experiences
  • serve serious arts students
  • emphasize arts integration
  • provide professional development opportunities for Pre-K through 12 teachers
Programming in this category should address at least one of the values above.  It is not necessary for the programming to address all the values.
