United Arts Council Presents the Works
of Ser’ah Cheatham & Sherri Leeder
june 4– july 30, 2010

United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County Exhibit

Works by Ser’ah Cheatham & Sherri Leeder

The July exhibit in the United Arts lobby will feature the acrylics of Ser’ah Cheatham and the jewelry design of Sherri Leeder. Cheatham’s paintings, created over a five-week period, try to bridge the known and unknown, the mundane and the fantastic. They are intended to be as entertaining as they are provocative. Leeder layers beads, brass stampings, shells and other objects onto brass bases to create richly textured pins and necklaces. Her favorite subjects include densely populated coral reefs and lush gardens of over-lapping leaves and flowers. These works will remain on display through July 30.
