Information for Cultural Arts Representatives

Cultural Arts Representatives are the backbone of the Artists in the Schools program. These individuals, who are parents or teachers at the schools they represent, volunteer to oversee the Artists in the Schools process, beginning with attending an information session in early August, followed soon after by our annual Cultural Arts Festival, where they have the chance to see artists in action, talk with them in person and decide which to invite to their schools.

These volunteers submit an application in September to United Arts to request funding for performances, workshops and residencies at their schools, and they handle the contracts and payments for the programs the PTA and school have agreed to present to their students in a given school year.
