Artists in Schools Artists

 

Professional teaching artists (individual artists, ensembles, and arts organizations) are eligible to apply to participate in the Artists in Schools (AIS) program. Accepted programs will support K-12 learners in today's school environments while making relevant connections to arts and/or non-arts curriculum standards through at least one of the following artistic disciplines:  dance, literary, music, storytelling, theatre, or visual art.

Artists accepted into the AIS program are included in the Artist in Schools Directory and are eligible to participate in the annual Cultural Arts Booking Fair.

Information Sessions for Prospective Artists

Information sessions are held annually a few weeks prior to the deadline. All sessions are held at the United Arts Council office.  Please register in advance to jmastropaolo@unitedarts.org

For 2018-19, two sessions will be offered:

  • Thursday, March 1, 2018, 2:00 pm
    Saturday, March 3, 2018, 10:00 am

Artist Application

Every spring, teaching artists may apply to include new programs in the Artists in Schools Directory. Applications for the 2018-19 school year are due Thursday, April 12, 2018. The 2018-19 application will be available beginning on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.
