AIS Artists

 

Professional teaching artists (individual artists, ensembles, and arts organizations) may apply to participate in the Artists in Schools (AIS) program.  Artists and their programs support K-12 learners in today's school environments while making relevant connections to arts and/or non-arts curriculum standards through at least one of the following artistic disciplines:  dance, literary, music, storytelling, theatre, visual art.

Artists accepted into the AIS program are included in the Artist in Schools Directory and are eligible to participate in the annual Cultural Arts Booking Fair.

Information Sessions for Prospective Artists

Professional teaching artists are invited to attend an information session about the Artists in Schools program. Topics include background about the program and what artists can expect with participation, as well as tips for submitting suitable applications.  Sessions are held at United Arts' office.

Artist Application

Every spring, teaching artists may apply to include new programs in the Artists in Schools Directory.  The application for the 2017-2018 school year is now available.  To learn about the application and to apply, click on "application process" in the orange box to the right.
