The history of immigration in the United States told through Dance, Music and Story. Discover how each community adds another square to the quilt of America with their different stories, culture, and traditions. The performance will encourage children to cultivate their ability to connect the history they read to the life they are familiar with, understand the structure of a story, and respect other cultures and their traditions. Custom designed shows serve preK-12 grade students. Youngest children: engages the students throughout the show by taking them on a trip around the world and back in time; they have the chance to act out the story. Upper elementary and middle school students: they find themselves wrapped in the story and focused on the drama of "What happens next?" Older students: builds in section of the program that highlight how Master Artist Arianna Ross has managed to craft her stories and publish her work.
Story Tapestries creates educational, entertaining, international programs that weave the power of dance, music, and theatre. Master Artist Arianna Ross has performed for audiences from 50-10,000 people and for children and adults with equal success. She custom design programs to fit the needs of your audience. For 16 years, she has performed and taught across the United States in festivals, concert halls, colleges, libraries, schools, and community centers. Organization she has worked with include: National Theatre, East TN University, Hillwood Museum, Houma Regional Arts Council, LA, the United Arts Council of Raleigh, NC, Young Audiences of MD, Washington Performing Arts Society, and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
